Their writers rank the capital’s Cold Town House, which won Beer Bar of the Year 2021, in a lofty fifth place, deeming it the best beer garden in Scotland.
Commenting on the Calton Hill bar, which boasts stunning castle views, gondola and ski lift seats, The Week said: “Calton Hill Brewery was the first in Britain to brew lager and’s Cold Town House was named after the famed Grassmarket destination.
“Opening in 2019, this outpost – which was previously a church – has already made a name for itself with its mission to make beer accessible for all.
“Another unique feature of this outdoor space is its vintage Nissan van where you can order drams directly to your table.”
